The first way to stay safe on the Internet is you should use an anti virus system so you don't get all types of junk on your computer. Another way to stay safe on the Internet is that you should not open e-mails from unknown sources because some e-mails have viruses attached to them. The third way to stay safe on the Internet is to use hard to guess passwords and keep them to your self and don't use your name as a password. Also you should use firewalls to keep you and your family safe from hackers trying to get information from you. Another reason to be safe on the Internet is that you should not give access to strangers to your computer because once you do they could bring along a virus. When your not using your computer you should disconnect from the Internet so you could lessen the risk of someone couldn't enter your computer and cause harm. Backup your family information like precious pictures and things by saving it to a CD or jump drive so just in case your computer crashes then you will have all of it on a backup source. You should also get security updates for your computer because it will keep you up to date with all the new types of security. Help your family  check your computers security at least twice a year.
